Kyra Minturn

 KyraMinturn Sedgwick, born 19th August, 1965 is an American actress. She is most famous for her role as the Deputy Chief Brenda Leigh Johnson (TVN crime drama The Closer). Sedgwick earned a Golden Globe Award in 2007 for her performance as Johnson and also an Emmy Award 2010 for her performance. After the end of the seventh season, the series was cancelled on August 13, 2012. Sedgwick is also famous for her recurring role as Madeline Wuntch on the sitcom Brooklyn Nine-Nine. Sedgwick received an Golden Globe Award for her performance in Something to Talk About (1995). Sedgwick's film appearances include Oliver Stone's Born on the Fourth of July (1989) as well as Cameron Crowe's Solos (1992), Heart and Souls (93), Phenomenon (2000) as well as What's cooking (2000) and Secondhand Lions (2003). She also starred in The Game Plan (2007) and The Possession (2012). Sedgwick was the daughter of Patricia Rosenwald who was a speech and family therapist, and Henry Dwight Sedgwick IV who was a venture capitalist. Her birthplace was in New York City. Her mother was Jewish. Her dad was Episcopalian and of English descent. Sedgwick is a self-described Jewish and has said that she participates at Passover seders.
