Jennifer Rene Psaki
Jennifer Rene Psaki, an American political advisor, served as the 34th White House Press Secretary from 2021-2022. A member of Democratic Party, Psaki was previously the White House deputy secretary (2009), White House deputy director of communications (2009-2011) and spokesperson for United States Department of State 2013-2015, and White House communications Director (2015-2017). Psaki was an CNN political commentator from 2017 through 2020. Psaki started her professional career with an Iowa Democratic senator, Tom Harkin, and then became the governor of Iowa. Psaki became John Kerry's press secretary deputy in 2004. From 2005 until the year 2006, Psaki served as communications director for U.S. representative Joseph Crowley and as regional press secretary for the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee. Psaki was also the press secretary for the Obama reelection campaign in 2012. 20 February 2013 Psaki was appointed spokesperson for the United States Department of State. [20] She was hired by the Department of State to fill the White House Press Secretary Jay Carney's position.[21] But, Josh Earnest took his spot on May 30, 2014. In the year 2015, she was recalled to the White House as communications director and was there until the end of the Obama administration.
